Shipping Policy
How we plan, move and deliver your freight — and how claims are handled.
1. Overview
This Shipping Policy describes how PLUMB TIRED LLC ("we", "us" or "our") plans, moves and delivers freight in connection with the services offered on frontterritorycontract.co. It applies together with our Terms of Service and the terms of each booking. By booking a shipment, you agree to this Shipping Policy.
2. Booking & Confirmation
Shipments are booked through a confirmed rate confirmation, email or executed service agreement. A booking is confirmed once we issue a rate confirmation referencing your shipment details. You must provide accurate details of the cargo, including commodity, quantity, weight, dimensions, pickup and delivery locations, and requested dates.
3. Equipment & Capacity
We move freight with our own fleet and with vetted partner carriers. Equipment is assigned based on the type of cargo, weight and volume. We use 53' dry van trailers, 48' flatbed and step-deck equipment, and 53' refrigerated trailers. Equipment is maintained to comply with applicable safety standards. In limited circumstances, capacity or equipment availability may require scheduling adjustments, and we will notify you promptly.
4. Transit Times & Delivery Windows
Transit estimates provided in quotes are good-faith projections based on distance, route and capacity. They are not guarantees unless specifically stated in a confirmed service commitment. Estimated times in the table below are typical one-way transit times for full truckload moves and may vary with weather, traffic, and regulatory factors.
| Distance | Typical FTL transit time |
|---|---|
| Under 500 miles | 1 day |
| 500 – 1,500 miles | 2 – 3 days |
| 1,500 – 2,500 miles | 3 – 4 days |
| Over 2,500 miles | 4 – 6 days |
5. Pickup & Delivery Procedures
- Scheduling: you must provide an accurate street address, contact person and phone number for both pickup and delivery, and be available at the agreed windows.
- Loading: unless we agree to arrange loading, you are responsible for loading within the free time at pickup. Palletized freight must be loadable by standard equipment (e.g., dock or liftgate).
- Unloading: unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for unloading within the free time at delivery. If a liftgate, inside delivery, or extra handling is required, confirm it at booking — additional accessorial charges may apply.
- Documentation: the driver or our team will provide a bill of lading and, at delivery, a proof of delivery. Sign the delivery receipt only after inspecting the freight.
6. Packaging & Documentation
You are responsible for ensuring cargo is packaged and secured to withstand normal transit conditions, and that all required documentation (bills of lading, shipping papers, permits) is accurate and complete. PLUMB TIRED LLC reserves the right to refuse freight that is not adequately packaged or documented.
7. Restricted & Prohibited Items
We do not carry illegal goods, contraband, or items prohibited by federal or state law. Hazardous materials are handled only when properly declared, classified and packaged in full compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, and only after written confirmation from our team. Firearms, cash, negotiable instruments, and precious metals are generally not accepted unless specially arranged.
8. Detention & Accessorials
Standard free loading/unloading time applies per booking (typically 2 hours, unless otherwise stated). Time beyond the free period may be charged as detention in accordance with the rate confirmation. Additional services — such as liftgate, inside pickup/delivery, appointment scheduling, reweighing, or traffic control for oversized loads — are billed as accessorials at the confirmed rate.
9. Loss & Damage Claims
Claims for loss or damage are governed by the applicable transportation contract and by federal law, including where applicable the Carmack Amendment, 49 U.S.C. § 14706. To preserve your rights:
- Note the damage on the bill of lading or delivery receipt at the time of delivery.
- File a written claim with us within the time allowed by the applicable tariff or contract (typically no later than 9 months after delivery, per the Carmack Amendment).
- Include your claim amount, supporting documentation (e.g., invoices, photos, repair estimates), and the bill of lading number.
Submit claims in writing to ceviheye33@gmail.com. We will acknowledge receipt and respond within 30 days or as required by applicable law.
10. Insurance
PLUMB TIRED LLC maintains cargo liability and liability insurance as required by applicable regulations. Our liability for loss or damage is subject to the limits stated in the applicable tariff or contract, and in no event less than the minimums required by law. If your cargo requires coverage above the applicable limit, we can discuss cargo insurance options before shipping.
11. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, labor disruptions, government actions, or infrastructure failures. Where a force majeure event occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed and to reschedule the shipment.
